RF Biocidics has sold two food pasteurization machines to Mexican harvester and distributor Sesajal.

Sesajal harvests and distributes consumer products including vegetable oils, oily seeds and organic beans and flours.

The first RF Biocidics APEX machine will be installed in Sesajal’s facility in Guadalajara, Jalisco, where it will be used to treat chia seeds, chickpeas, sesame seeds and peanuts.

Roughly 50% of products from this facility will be shipped to the US for consumer purchase, and the remainder will be sold in Asia, Europe and Mexico.

“RF Biocidics’ partnership with Sesajal is an important step to bringing safe foods to consumers in Mexico and around the world,” said Craig Powell, RF Biocidics CEO.

RF Biocidics employs volumetric heating to remove pests and bacteria using radio frequency waves.

Inigo Gonzalez Covarrubias, Sesajal CEO, said it was an important step for the company, grower community and customers.

“Our partnership with RF Biocidics is the realization of our ongoing commitment to bring safe, organic products to the marketplace.”
